The Craddle Of Our Country: Pennsylvania

oiBeing one of the oldest states, Pennsylvania is known for being the birth place of what we now know as the United States Of America. I have visited this state often and I know all the sights it possesses.

One of the most gorgeous places in PA, is the city of Du Bois, located in the Clearfield County. The town was founded by John Rumbarger, for whom the town was originally named. The town was later renamed for local lumber magnate John DuBois, who came from a longstanding American family of French Huguenot descent.

If you ever feel like visiting this great city, I can recommend that you stay in the Wolf Run Manor At Lake Treasure. It is located in north central Pennsylvania,nestled in the heart of an 8,000-acre resort community. It’s just south of Allegheny National Forest and borders Pennsylvania State Game Lands #77.

Treasure Lake has two lakes with beach areas,an indoor and three outdoor pools,tennis courts,two PGA 18-hole golf courses,and a marina. As the property encompasses thousands of acres,guests will need to drive to amenities. The wooded setting is perfect for hiking and nature-watching. Winter brings ice-skating,sledding,and cross-country skiing.

As I mentioned before, I have visited this state and this city various times, and I find myself coming back to Wolf Run Manor. With the recent elections behind us, I might go here to escape from the aftermath of the elections and relax. With my travel club membership, I can come to Du Buis as many times as I like and i will only pay $298 for a week.

A Week Of Tropical Cruising

Coastal Maine, Closer To You.

One of the states that I’ve loved to travel to is the coastal state of Maine. Besides being home to one of the world famous authors in the world, namely, Stepehn King, Maine is a very quiet state with many beutiful towns.

One such town is the village of Ogunquit. Ogunquit, which meant “coastal lagoon” to native Abenaki Indians, was first a village within Wells, which was settled in 1641. The first sawmill here was established in 1686, and shipbuilding developed along the tidal Ogunquit River. Besides constructing schooners and brigs, local shipwrights built the famous “Ogunquit dory.”

When I have the chance to visit, I preffer to stay in the Seacastles Resort. Seacastles Resort is just a little over an hour north of Boston. The resort is located a short walk from Ogunquit’s spectacular beach, two blocks from the town center, and directly across from the Marginal Way, a beautiful one-mile walkway along the rocky cliffs of Ogunquit.

Nearby is Perkins Cove, an area offering shops, restaurants, galleries, deep-sea charters, and more. You'll find golf only 10 miles away and tennis nearby. After a day spent enjoying the area, return to the resort to relax in the indoor pool or hot tub.

This wonderful is one of many along the coast of Maine, that offers you quality, comfort and luxury.  because rates on this resort are based on double occupancy, their prices can go from $50 to $330 per day. You might be able to get a timeshare but the lowest rate is $650 for a week.

But if you use my travel club membership, you get to stay here for a week for prices that range from $298. And don’t bother checking with Priceline or Travelocity. A Spot Close To Home

If you are one of the people that love to travel to one’s own country more often than traveling outside of the USA, then there’s no better state to visit than sunny Florida. More specifically Orlando. In Orlando, you can find the Kissimmee Osceola County. It was created in 1886. Osceola County is a 1,506 square mile area that serves as the south/central boundary of the Central Florida Region and the Greater Metropolitan Area. The City of Kissimmee, the County Seat, is 18 miles due south of Orlando. Osceola’s only other incorporated City, St. Cloud, is 9 miles east of Kissimmee, and approximately 45 miles west of the City of Melbourne on the Atlantic Coast.

One of the finest resorts in the county is the Royal Palm Bay vacation Villas. The Royal Palm Bay Villas is located at the end  of Royal Bay Blvd, a quiet cul-de-sac convenient to the pool and clubhouse.  Royal Bay Blvd off Poinciana Blvd. is approximately 1 mile south of US 192.  The intersection of Poinciana Blvd and US 192 opens the world to all the major attractions which are within easy reach.  Along 192, there are many diners, restaurants, shopping centers, specialty stores, as well as major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target, CVS and many others.

And this wonderful villa has many amenities and theme parks close by. You are within minutes of Disney, Busch Gardens, Sea World, The Kennedy Space Center and Universal Studios.

You can stay in this villa for $79 per night. If you like you can search for a timeshare here, but I doubt you will find one with a good price. Travelocity and Priceline, don’t even have this on their data base. But with my travel club membership, you can stay a week here for $298. That’s $24 per night.
